She is "Totally Out of Control..."

July 6, 2008, 04:54 PM
Well, chock up three guns to the wife today. We went shooting and she fell in love with a few of my guns. Told me she's buying her own safe and "Whats mine is Hers" or some such threat.... :)

At any rate the Talo Ruger 10/22 is gone.....

As is one of my custom Flintlocks. A .36 cal Squirrel gun by Wheeler ~ that she wants to take rabbit hunting this winter.....

Here is the one that surprised me the most! The S&W 657 is gone. She was actually grinning from ear to ear, whilst shooting it double action on the plate rail. Full house magnums and she wanted to know what the "big" deal about that is...God I love that woman!

Anyone else have a Honey that loves to shoot as much as you...
5 Kids, a pile of grandkids, and my wife still amazes me all the time......

i just have to call you one thing. lucky. Me and my girlfreind are seriously alike though, except she doesn't like to shoot. I got to work on that. but dang your lucky to have a wife that loves to shoot.

I want one! I've had 4 of the other kind.

thanks for sharing the pics

I have a girlfriend that likes to shoot, just not as much as I do. I'm sure that once she gets her own guns she'll pick up the pace.

She began as kind of an anti, but I showed her the error in her ways. ;)

My woman has a CCW and carries a Glock 26, and keeps wanting more "Tacticool" AR accessories. She is also bugging me for a Sig Mosquito and a Mossberg JIC shotgun.

July 6, 2008, 05:22 PM
I haven't seen the JIC in action, but i would not really bother with it in my opinion. Just get a Mossberg 500a, and get a pistol grip. Either that or get a really short double barrel. :) maybe a 10g

Yes, we're lucky men. My wife is the same way. Her favorite is .44 mag.

Just buy her, her own.

FirstInLine often reminds me, "You buy a gun, I get to buy a gun. I buy a gun, we'll talk about whether we can afford another for you." :D

Hottie AND loves a .41 Magnum's kick.

Dude, you are the king of win!

July 6, 2008, 06:05 PM
I feel your pain.
Years ago my wife "confiscated" my custom G26!!

July 6, 2008, 06:30 PM
Well my wife doesn't like to shoot but she is pretty cool with my growing collection. Today I added a good used mossy oak Mossberg 500a 12ga, a NIB Marlin 336W 30-30, and a little cheapo single action .22lr snake pistol. I told her how much I had in them and she told me I really got a good deal, and that I deserve them!

So while I would LOVE for her to LOVE to shoot, I can't complain!

You are in the zone. Be thankful you have a wife that is not the other way and want to keep you from buying guns or shooting. This way you get to borrow hers and shoot all you want and two safes.

Should have titled this one " Date ~ out of State " for the young'ins....:)

Maine gals are different. My gal can outwork any man I know. Grew up on a dairy farm milking, plus they kept 250 Pigs! Most manly men have no clue what that means. Getting up at 3:30 am and getting chores done then getting to school on time.... And having the rich kid clicks ride hard on you and your cloths. Then going home and doing the reverse over again before you can study for your tests....the next day. Having everyone look down on you cause you aren't one of the "cool kids" whose Mom and Dad drove the high-end cars, not the old pickup....The kids with college in their future, never having to earn a thin dime to pay for their fun....

Yep, I married a Maine gal.....

Proud to say she is low maintenance. Appreciates everything I do and say. Trick is that I have a much higher opinion of her, then most folks I know ~ including me:)

Consider yourself lucky to have a wife that likes to shoot. My wife although a CCW holder is a big PITA when it comes to going to the range. "The earmuffs mess my hair and the goggles make my makeup run" She won't change married 19 years now. I have I ask her less. So she winds up going with me only a few times a year.

You are a lucky guy. My girl is the same way, loves my .357, keeps trying to "confiscate" my .30-06, and recently beat me shooting clays, it was really cool

your so lucky so so lucky

Very cool. My wife has been "borrowing" several of my guns now going on over a year. It's a problem I'm not too worried about solving. :)

I have a similar problem.

So far my wife has claimed as her own personal weapons:
1) A very nice Taurus snub nose 5 shot revolver in .45 Colt
2) A Glock 17, but now she has decided she would rather have my Glock 21 as it is a larger caliber.

I put together an AR-15 for her just so I wouldn't have to give up mine.

Then she decided that the shotgun residing in our closet for defense didn't fit her well enough so I converted a Remington 870 for her.

It is a nice problem to have. :)

I've been married for 30 years and I think my wife fired a .22 rifle one time back when we were young. She has no interest in firearms and that's fine with me. It's probably the main reason I've survived 30 years of marriage...
