Can anyone tell me the approximate value of a German made Weatherby Mark V Deluxe with Weatherby 2-7x scope? It is in .300 Weatherby, has a 24" barrel, and is in just about perfect condition. I don't know the year of manufacture but the serial # is P 522xx.

Any help you can give is appreciated.

IGWT,

My new version of Gun Tracker shows that gun at 100% grading worth $1400.00. Then you can add between 15% and 20% because it was made in Germany. As far as the scope is concerned, I'm not sure. It does not allow for that. If the grading drops to 98% the price drops to $950 plus the 15-20% for being made in Germany.

My uncle has one that has never been fired but his was made here in the U.S.

I gave a price that you could probably get quickly at this point in time. 100% is 'new in box and unfired' 98% is like above but fired(which is what I presumed you have) . I would advertise for $1400 and take anything above $1000.;)

Actually I am considering buying it, not selling it.

IGWT,

In that case think about this. When my Uncle purchased his it was about 1994, 95. He gave $650 for it then. I know this for a fact because I was there when he bought it.

They have gone up in price, no doubt. It would be nice to know about when the person bought it and figure from there. As long as they are making some money and you are getting a deal, go for it. I have to go along the lines of what Gordon said. I would offer $1000. Even then, you are getting one hell of a deal and some to play with if you can't get it for that. Good luck!
