I'm not too familiar with the AK style rifles and their variants. I understand there are single and double stack types with different magazines for each. Is this rifle (http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Laminated_Stock_Romanian_SAR_1_7_62x39_Rifle.html) single or double? Will the 30-round steel Polish magazines (http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Rifle_Magazines.html) work? How about the 30-round synthetic? How are these prices?

I'm in PDRK, but I may be moving pretty soon now.

The SAR-1 that you have linked to is indeed a double stack rifle with enough U.S. parts to legally use the Polish mags that you have described. (When I say legally, there are some double-stack AK's that do not have enough U.S. parts in them that you would have to either change out some foreign parts in the rifle or add U.S. made parts in the magazine (floorplates, followers) to be legal.) AIM's prices are generally used as the starting point - expect to pay a little more at local gun shows (laminated SAR-1's were going for about $339 )and quite a bit more at local dealers ($389 and up).
