Sounds like normal. Thats why I don't fool with him. The price savings isn't worth it.

I gave up on George after 12 weeks of no responses, and then I finally get through, and he wants to charge me his new price for stuff I ordered and should have been delivered 3 months ago.

Mastercast is the alternative.

There's a KEAD thread down there, somewhere, if you search it out.

I know he's casting; I just bought 1000 9mm bullets at a local shop.

Bernie, I think he focuses on filling orders for the local shops, then the bulk reloaders, and whenever he has time he makes some to fill individual orders. George freely admits he has more business than he can handle.

Give Missouri Bullets a shout.

Good product, good people, good prices.

I have another 4000 Missouri bullets coming next week, in fact. Good people and a decent product.

I was up at a local shop here in NoTexas this AM, and wound up buying 1000 Kead .401 bullets for my 40S&W pistols. In talking to the owner, we were chuckling over Kead's 'on again, off again' status and he was telling me that Kead's wife was making the local deliveries so that he could keep focused on casting. Evidently, demand is far outstripping his production capability and he's struggling with how to best deal with that.

Sounds like someone needs to invest some more monies into his business.

When demand outweighs supply, demand will reach equality with supply....just before supply exceeds demand due to upset customers.

I fully understand the supply and demand thing, but Kead could be a lot more "High Road" by not telling the customer that their order will ship the next day, and then not follow through.

To do that to a customer no less than 4 times over one order is really inexcuseable.

You certainly wouldn't let your kids get away with that type of behavior...

I ordered from Mike at Mastercastbullets 10 weeks ago and haven't heard a peep since....

Seems to be going around for casters to get burdened and flake out.

Lucky you guys...

I've had an order with George for 8000 bullets since LAST YEAR.

He called me about 2 months ago and said they were starting the run of bullets, did I want them still.

I figured, why not? Sure George, I'll take them...

Yea, 2 months have gone by and nothing. If George is going to just sell to the local shops, then stop advertising on the internet.

I've ordered from Mike at mastercastbullets.com and he filled the order inside a month. Nice guy. I just tried betterbullets.com, and it took just over a week to receive 2k 200gr SWC's for my 45acp.

I'm waiting on 3000 from a guy in Phoenix that's just started up recently, still a part-timer. Someone put the word out on the 'net, and he's been swamped. Sounds like a nice, young family guy, has young kids jabbering in the background when I've called him.

.45 230 gr. LRN's, $202 for 3000, shipped. For that price, I can be patient!

I know I said Missouri Bullets a few weeks back, but I'll plug 'em again. He's added a new, full-time office manager to divest him of some of his office responsibilities so he can dedicate more time to his bullet machines. And, he's added another Magma machine, so he's in tall cotton, as we say in Texas. He's stating 72-hour turn around, and some orders sooner. Midway hardly turns orders that fast.

With the exception of one .45 caliber Cowboy bullet, his prices are very good. Check him out.

I tried ordering from Mike at mastercastbullets.com. He talked to me on the phone for more than 15 minutes about his bullets. He said he'd email an order form to me. After a few days I emailed him. Twice. Never heard back.:banghead:
