Load a round on the carrier? How?

Hello, I've seen references to loading a round on the shell carrier, in addition to a full mag and one in the chamber. Sounds interesting, how do I do that in a Rem 1100-12ga?

I don't think you can. The trick seems limited to some Euro-shotguns.

It can be done with my pre-ban HK-Benelli M1 Super90 by simply dropping a shell on the carrier through the ejection port...that's the only semi-auto that I'm aware of that it can be done with, though.

Also be done on my Beretta. But since Beretta and Benelli receivers are almost the same, no wonder.
I personally dislike doing this with my Beretta because it prevents me from being able to perform slug selection maneuvers.
