Hi, I just purchased a slightly used Beretta 391, someone put the buttstock swivel slightly off center and it tends to loosen. What easy good fix to plug up this hole so it can be redrilled with drill press? I figure someone has already been there done that and would save me time and $$. Thanks Mac

I'm a big fan of epoxy. The 'mighty putty' in the infomercials is simply "A and B" epoxy. Mix A and B and fill the hole, let it cure awhile, ready to go! It might be a little tricky depending on the internal construction of the stock there, i.e. if there is a large void to fill via a small hole, in which case you may have to open it up a bit to get a stable application of epoxy that can be drilled without knocking it loose.

Best I got, never done that particular repair.

I second epoxy; the stuff never ceases to amaze me.

Epoxy is great, filled epoxy is pretty close to what the stock is made of to begin with. I believe you can get dyes to make it match color wise, too.

Perhaps also plastic seam filler used in installing laminate counter tops? It's sold in tubes. Black is among the colors.

Let us know the results of whatever you use?

If you can get to the inside you can do it like this (http://rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232470).

Neil. :)
