I've been in there several times now. Very good guys and helpful.

For instance:

A month or two ago I was looking for a flip-up rear sight for a flat-top AR15 upper I have on order. I had basically decided on the Arms #40, but I wasn't sure. During my web search I discovered Coal Creek had a store front in Oak Ridge. After a quick call to verify their location and hours I ran up there to check 'em out.

They were very helpful. They brought out the Arms #40 sight to look at and several of their personal AR15s to show me different options (at the time, they didn't have their FFL so there were not any guns for sale).

While there, I asked about the Wilderness sling they had for sale. Well, the guy that was helping me opened the package, showed me how to attach it to an AR15 and helped me get it adjusted for my preferences.

Outstanding service.:D

Coal Creek also will be a NFA dealer and Class II manufacturer as soon as the license arrives. That should happen any day now from what I hear.

I have heard, but have not confirmed, that they are working on sponsering a shooting match at ORSA. I sure hope they can get a rifle or 3-gun match going.

One more thing, they have thrown several free cookouts for friends and customers. The last one was on Saturday the 23rd.

Obviously, I recommend these guys. They are still getting started so their selection is kinda small but they will order or build whatever you like.

I just bought mine in 98% condition for $700 folding stock, safety upgrade
etc...

Is this a LNIB or a gold plated version or should I go sell mine right now?

I was kinda wondering about that SPAS price. Are there nine or ten $100 bills rolled up and stuffed down the barrel? The last one I saw go at a show went for eight-and-change. Blue Book on the gun in 100% unfired, LNIB is something like $675; I know this is a little low, but it ain't $1,200 low... :scrutiny:

I think HSO may have been confused on the price.

Coal Creek does have two Spas 12s for sale, but they also have an Uzi for sale that is hanging right below the Spas 12s.

When I was there last, the owner was telling me that many people ask the price on the Uzi even thought it is not for sale and does not have a price tag on it. The owner, tired of explaining that the Uzi is not for sale, finally priced it at some high price just for the heck of it.

Now, when people ask about the price, he says it's $3000 but for you, only $1800, or something similar.

Maybe HSO confused the Spas 12 with the Uzi price? Anyway, on the Coal Creek website the Spas 12 is P.O.R.

FWIW, Coal Creek is a business partner with AR15.com. I sent a message to Coal Creek asking them to come by here to see this thread.

While I specialize in confusion and might be wrong on the SPAS price, it's what I thought I saw on each of the tags hanging on the 2 guns.
I didn't notice the UZI tag so I can't say. I did notice that their AR10 prices looked good.

I did just luuuv the lavender furniture on one 15 on the wall.:D

Is the pink-clad rifle still hanging there?

I'm looking for one in Tartan plaid to pay homage to my part-Scottish roots.

Maybe it's the one that Arnold used in The Terminator? ;)

I'll have to stop in and check the place out next time I'm in the area.

Fly,

Jimmy can cook a plaid cammo pattern for you. He might even be able to do it in clan colors. Give him a call!

Wow! Thanks to Fly320s for the link or I would have missed out on this great site.

We've expanded our hours, 10-7p M-F and we're usually in on Saturday from 10a-2p (usually later, but not much) but it is best to call and make sure we're not out on the range testing out some toys, or have overslept.

We will open early, late or on Sunday if you call ahead of time and ask us to be there so you can stop by and see if something you've got an interest in will work with your setup or just gawk at the overpriced SPAS and UZI.

Speaking of, the SPAS12s are tagged at $1850 because we like looking at them hanging there. They are for sale, but we really don't have a "true" sales price stuck on them. We were looking for one and ended up with two by some strange twist of fate and they just looked good hanging there so we decided to pursue the "soft" sales tactic.

If you haven't been in in a while, or haven't ever been in, we've finally stocked up on all items and have new guns and gear coming in everyday.

That's what it looked like on Friday. Stocked to the gills!

We are dealers for Glock, Sig, HK, Bushmaster, DPMS, Browning, Beretta, Springfield Armory, CQB Solutions, ARMS, GG&G, Blackhawk and can get anything you are looking for. We are a Type 07 FFL and can make some of the finest shooting irons you can think up. Currently we are offering the Turnmire 10, 10mm built on a 1911 frame. We also offer custom AR15 uppers and all sorts of stuff.

We have a nice leather couch and easy chair, stocked 'fridge with beverages, high quality coffee maker, snacks and tons of catalogs and magazines to leaf through and we encourage people to just come on by and shoot the breeze if they want. Maybe stare at the aquarium and help us figure out names for the fish.

We are expecting our SOT stamp in the mail any day now so when that arrives we will be stocking all NFA type items, and handling transfers.

I've gone long here, I'm sorry.

Oh! One more thing, we're getting bulk ammo this week.
