What with it being summer temps around 85 degrees, and high humidity makes it feel like 95 degrees, and worrying about the election, global warming, avian flu, and the economy I've been pretty sweaty recently. So what is the best way to clean a nylon holster? I'm thinking throwing it in the dishwasher is looking pretty clever. I have a desantis IWB holster that has a metal clip, and an uncle mikes shoulder holster with only minor metal hardware (that is filthy, I got it used and have yet to wear it because of this). Should I be worried about the metal bits?

Run it through the washing machine then hang it up to dry. Be sure that it dries throughly before use.

That is what I do.

Personally i would lace it on the top rack of the dishwasher and remove it to hang dry before the dry cycle .

Check out FIST Holsters and get their very thin iwb holster made of polymer. Excellent and carefree.
