What are you thinkig to reload .357 Rem Maximum T/C Contender or T/C G2 with .358 rifle bullerts. I reload for silencer too.

I will offer some speculation. I would, at best, approach with extreme caution the idea of pushing a heavier, jacketed bullet that is .001" too large down the bore with any speed. I think you would be better off with a 158-180-gr. bullet designed for pistols.

The Lone Haranguer, I have T/C Contender 22LR rechambred to 22 Hornet and I keep shooting .357-bullets with T/C Contender 9mm Luger barrel.
Ofcourse this is little differend thing.
Mayby subsonics loads with better ballistic coefficient-35-rifle bullets are ok?

Hornady makes a 180gr SP especially for single shot pistols that works well in the max. It is .358 cal. The Horn 200gr SP and the Rem 200gr SPCL work well too. I haven't loaded heavier than that yet, but I have a box of Sierra 225gr that I need to try.

Okiecrufler, what are you thinkig those heavier bullets with Dan Wesson .357 Super Mag. revolver? Mayby ok with "Cow Boy Loads"?

Why not just get a barrel in .35 Remington? Get comparable ballistics without having to push the envelope for them.

At least as wide a range of practical bullet weights, too. I've used a whole slew of cast and jacketed .357 revolver bullets from 125 to 200 grs. in my old 336 for 'gallery' plinking and small game loads with very satisfactory results.

I have a few DW's and I'm not too worried about their ability to handle heavy loads. But I don't have a 357SM. Not sure if the loads would be too long overall to fit in the cylinder.
The 35rem can be problematic in the contender, at least with a factory barrel. But if you're reloading you can custom size your brass to overcome the chambering problem. Not positive, but I'm pretty sure that your gain with the 35rem in a pistol length barrel is pretty slim compared to the increase in powder consumption. I'd definately go with the 357 herrett over the 35 rem for that reason. But I don't feel a bit under gunned with my 357 max.

OK, my idea was bad.
I keep useing Hornady HPXTP- and Archipelago(+ copperpladet resitzed castbullets 158- and 180gr, like about this time.

For the .357 max a 180 grain xtp is hard to beat. The problem running bullets ment for rifles in the .357 max is they might not have enough velocity to expand when they hit their target. If your just shooting non living stuff I would just get the 180 grain spire points ment for the 35 rem.
