Urgent! The Center for Disease Control has just (July 11) updated its warnings about the Salmonella outbreak to include advice against eat raw jalapeņo and serranno peppers:
Until health officials know that the contaminated product or products are no longer on the market, persons with increased risk of severe infection, including infants, elderly persons, and those with impaired immune systems, should not eat raw jalapeņo peppers or raw serrano peppers.
Please relay this warning to every jalapeņo-eating infant you know. If you encounter any skeptical jalapeņo-eating infants among your acquaintance, refer them to this CDC announcement: http://www.cdc.gov/salmonella/saintpaul/
