I was wondering if these two powders would meter well in a Dillon powder measure. Information would be very helpful, as I would like to use them when loading 25-06.

While they aren't bad (meter-wize), like any rifle ammo being used for accuracy with an extruded powder, you will want to have your powder measure thrown them light and trickle up to your full charge weight.

i really like rl-19 and 22 in their appropriate applications, but i gotta believe anything involving a progressive press automatically makes 19 and 22 'not appropriate'.

i suggest looking at h-380, ramshot hunter, and ramshot big game as possible replacements for 19 and 22 if you really want to use a progressive.

Stupid newbie question.....if extruded powders aren't good in a progressive, what type is? Ball?

I know RE19 doesn't throw very well in a uniflow. The grains are too big. If I was using it for target powder I would weigh every charge. For hunting loads it's close enough.

I was using RL-22 for my 7 mag. Neither my Lee or Dillon powder measures would drop it with any kind of consistancy. Both would vary by as much as 1.5gr. Could become dangerous at that level!
