I have been thinking about getting the new M&P9 Pro Series pistol (5" barrel, fiber optic front sight, square notched Novak rear sight and lightened 4-5 lb trigger pull). The M&P9L (Long slide) is also pretty nice, basically has the same slide as the Pro Series, but with the normal M&P front sight, normal M&P Novak rear sight and normal M&P trigger pull weight). Looks like the two have been out for about a month and a half now (or so) and I was wondering from the people who picked them up already, what they think of them, especially compared to the standard full size 4.25" barrel 9mm and .40 M&Ps (does the extra bit of sight radius help with accuracy more and does the longer slide have a great balance to it)? I have a M&P40 Compact that I really like (great carry gun), so I'm pretty used to the M&P trigger system. I just have been looking at getting another great 9mm range gun.
