unless Bushmaster has improved on EVERYTHING, I would recomend not buying one of those POSs. From the info on the site it looks like nothing has changed......most of all the crappy stock with it's silly plastic 'lever'

pure crap

I had the extreem displeasure of owning one and was happy to sell it at a loss. Accurate but not at all reliable.

Never shot one, but they certainly look like crap.

You might want to check out this thread (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=168091&w=myTopicPop) on ar15.com. One of the members said that he called Bushmaster to find out what the changes were. In summary:

Useage of a "Milspec" bolt. I'm sure he means standard AR-15 bolt like Bushmaster uses in their other guns.
Modification of feedramps.
5.56 chamber
Barrel extension modification
Take down pin location change. The Carbon 15 uppers will now fit and evidently function on a standard AR-15 lower.

Bushmaster has a pretty decent reputation in the industry. I'm sure they are going to try to maintain it with the former P.O. line.

pure CRAP...........and now even more expensive w/Busmaster!!

HA!

You have been forewarned from someone with actuall Carbon 15 expierence. Even after I swapped out the broken (two pieces) bold w/ a milspec it was still a jamm-o-matic POS.
I would not want to work in Bushmaster's customer service department as these things get out on the Market!

I agree, still no evidence they up-graded the recoil buffer assembly back to AR specs.

I got(read- I am stuck with.) one of those POS-15's to. Finally got it to run right, maybe.

As a former Carbon 15 owner I found them to fit into these catagories:

1-New in box (not broken YET)
2-Fired (Broken)
3-At factory for repairs (Broken)
4-Just received back from factory (Status unknown: Either still broken or not broken YET).
