Does anyone have any experience with Burska scopes?
I can't afford a leupold right now, and am looking for a scope 3X9-40, or 44 that will hold up to a .308 Encore. I have looked at Busnell, and Nikon also, and these are under consideration.
reason I'm asking, it seems that they received good reviews at Midway.
Thanks .

I have a 6.5X20X50 scope on my target/varmint rifle, a Savage 93F17. The scope is what I would consider a bargain scope, as it only cost me $49.99 and the next best scope was much more expensive with nicer ones in the 10x range. Very nice scope when the weather is clear and there is ample light. Gets a tad fuzzy over 14 otherwise, but still good enough to see bullet holes at 100 yards with ease.

I've heard of some issues with quality controls, but my scope is mechanically fine. It did have a scratch on the adjustment knobs, but it wasn't enough to make me return it to the store.

If I had to buy another "target" scope, it would depend on what the gun I was putting it on was. If it was another .17 I'd definitely buy it. If it was a .308, I'd only buy it if I couldn't afford one of the nicer scopes in the $XXX range. If you are on a budget, go Barska. If you want a nice scope, get a Leupold, Bushnell Elite, or Nikon Monarch .

I'm completely satisfied with mine for the application I'm using it in and have had no issues out of it.
