Ruger P345 Trouble

I just bought a new Ruger P345. After, 100 rounds, I was so impressed with its accuracy that I wrote a positive review in the Semiauto Section.

Today, on about the 400th round the slide began releasing when I pushed a new mag in. If I was real slow I could get the slide to stay locked but when I'd slingshot it or use the slide release THE HAMMER WOULD FALL. The pistol didn't AD and could be fired in DA. THe Safety/Decocker was "OFF".

Needless to say, I wrapped up the that range session early. I cleaned the pistol and plan to call the Gunshop and send it back to Ruger. I got the hammer to fall with slingshoting it on a snapcap so I know the problem is still there. I'm positive the Safety/Decocker is "OFF'. (Up with Ruger.)

I'm good to my firearms. I clean & oil after each shooting and all I've done with the P345 is dry fire it alot but I had the Mag in (like Ruger instructs) and I use a snapcap.

Never had this happen to any pistol I've owned? Does anyone have experience with this problem? Disappointing result with a pistol that was showing good accuracy and was comfortable to grip.

Thanks,

John
