Arnold's a patsy. The Kennedy clan publicly denounces his running publicly while privately supporting it knowing that his popularity gives him enough clout to draw critical votes away from bona fide candidates while his lack of integrity and intelligence ensures that he will most likely lose the race. The end game is diluting the republican electorate so any dem can win. Arnold is just dense enough to believe he can win when he should be throwing his considerable support behind McClintock to give the republicans half a chance.
