Whats a poor boy to do when he gets back from Africa and still has 6 days of vacation left. Go hunting of course.

The .470 gets first blood on a Texas ferral hog at just under a hundred yards as you can see from the exit wound there was no blood trail to follow.

Now guys tell me that hunting cape buffalo in the tall grass is dangerous. Well I think that the closest I've ever come to getting sorted happened on friday night just outside of Paducah Tx.

We went into town to get some groceries and when we came back: well now looky here. What your seeing is what remains of my brand new trailer I bought after my old trailer got totaled by hail earlier this summer. This one got nailed by a little ole twister. Thank god my double gun was cased and didn't get a scratch!

Guess I must be living right becuase if we hadn't had to go and get some cokes and bread I most likley wouldn't be writting this.

And many thanks to the man up stairs!!!

Oh and no it didn't stop us from hunting we just collected what gear we could salvage and drove into town checked into a motel and commensed to killin hogs.:D

Trailer? Look at it this way: Now you have extra spare tires for the next trailer. Not the best way to get'em, of course, but good to hear the double-gun was unhurt.

Wow, good luck on both counts. Can you post big pix of your new .470 NE? And a fact sheet would be nice. Is that the USA guy who is building them now? :)
