I'm a rifle handloader, but am also loading some .45acp. I've got a four die Lee carbide set, and am unclear on how to set up the crimp die, and the Lee brochure isn't very helpful. Just fyi, I've loaded 50 rds of 200 gr jacketed SWC in Starline brass using Solo 1000 powder and Win small pistol primers. Thanks for your help. George

This is for the FCD for 45. Run the ram all the way up and screw the die in until it touches the shell holder then Tighten it down. Back out the knob on top of the die. Put a empty case in the shell holder and run it up into the die. Turn the crimp stem down until you feel it touch the case, it will get hard to turn. Lower the case and screw it in another 1/2 turn. That should be close, you can adjust from there.
