8mm is my favorite caliber, IMR-4064 work well with Hornady 150 grain SP, Varget seems to work well also, along with BL-C(2). Have fun, be safe!

I used to load the Remmy 185 corlokt with 44.0 of IMR4064. I have not loaded the 175's. I am sticking with 50.0 grains of IMR4064 under a 150 speer or hornady or 49.0 grains of H4895 under the same 150 grain bullet.

opps my bad, I was thinking of another load data, I would start with 44 grains of 4064 and not exceed 49

I've had good luck with the 150 Hornady's and H335. You can pull the data I started working with from: http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp
I'm seeing my best results around 48 grains but YMMV.
Have a good one,
Dave

For 150 gr 45-49 grains of Tu3000
Or 45-51 grains of Tu 5000.
People are having a lot of luck with 46 gr of Tu 3000 or 47.5 of Tu 5000.
(The above is for the 8x57 with the .323 dia not .311)
I shoot 196 gr over 42 gr of Tu 5000 in my 8x60S...

I'm not even going to list my load as suffice to say, its well above the max seen in most current manuals. The charge weight is clse to the max for IMR 4064 in an older manual though.
For out to 200 yards, I haven't found an 8mm yet that won't shoot a Hornady 170gr Roundnosed bullet with IMR 4064 yet. Work up your loads and watch for pressure signs.

I have been using the Hornaday 150 over 48 grains of 3031 for the past hmmm almost 30 years. Seems to kill elk ok.
