I was listening to political radio yesterday, when John "McCarthy" Ashcroft was there, and of course, they were talking about the PATRIOT and VICTORY acts. The host was an avid supporter, and calls himself a conservative!!!

Frankly, I don't like either act one bit. But if I ever tell that to anyone (yeah, I have made that mistake once or twice), I really get a lot of crap about being paranoid or "not understanding things."

Anybody else get stuff like this, even from supposed pro-liberty people??

The goverment cares about you and has your best interest at heart, and all of these laws are necessary to protect and take care of you.

Yep. But I move my head so's the sun reflects off my beanie into their eyes, and they agree with me pretty quickly :p

I don't personally see how anyone can be even close to comfortable with PATRIOT, Victory, or whatever else our caring and beneficent masters in DC cook up for us.

But I'm funny that way...
