I have heard a bunch of you hyping these belts up...so I have to get one now!

I am looking to buy one of these in 1.5 inch width, black for duty use.

But I can't find a on-line dealer anywhere that sells to APO addresses. Does anyone have an address of where they purchased theirs so I can see if they ship APO?

Thanks

Call them at 1-602-242-4945

If they can't ship it, I'll order it from you, I'm putting in an order some time next week.

What's your belt size?

Skunky,

Thanks for the offer, but I would really like to find a place.

Someone suggested Dillon Precision, and it looks promising. Except it's not the CSM...I can always order it later though.

Glockster, the Wilderness itself will mail to APO, just got to email them though. It says it right on the homepage.

I sent them an e-mail, now the waiting begins.

I wish Brownells would carry them, would make things much easier.

Lightning Arms carries them now, though their web site doesn't show them. Go to the site and find the email for them, they have the best customer service in the business. I've bought 4-5 holsters from them, always get them within 2 days of ordering!

Ok, here's the deal with the Wilderness website. For anyone that cares.

Their reply:

Sir,

Go ahead and place your order and use any stateside address to trick the e-commerce. In the comments field, put the real APO address for our reference. Obviously, ignore the shipping estimate. We will e-mail you your actual shipping total to your APO.

Most of the reason for asking people to e-mail first is just to give us a heads-up that an APO order is incoming.

Thanks for your interest in our products and have a good, safe weekend.

Hope this helps anyone else interested in making a purchase from their website.

Well, I ordered the black 1.5" CSM in size 36. I got my order yesterday, and wore the belt to work last night.

I have to say that this is by far the best work belt I have ever owned. I like the way it fits, and how well it works.

The added polymer (in the area a IWB or OWB pistol would sit) is awesome and bending the belt over in this area is all but impossible.

It's a keeper. Thanks guys for the information.

Grockster, I was going to order another belt today...I sold my 1.5"x32" and i'll probably get a 1.75"x30".

I'm torn on whether to get the polymer inserts...do they really make a difference? I'm worried about me being too skinny for it to wrap around my dinky waist.

30" !? Have you been losing weight? You need more chop sockey/eat more sesame chicken&lo mein!

Skunky,

I don't know how much of a difference it would make, the belt is sturdy enough all the way around without it, but I can't see it hurting any to have the polymer insert.

I like what I have and it will eventually be used for work only. I am planning to get another one in Tan for CCW use when I return to the states. I plan to carry IWB with a 1911 inside of a Milt Sparks or Alessi rig.

I think either the 5 stitch or the CSM is the way to go, just for the sake of having them. Too stiff won't hurt me, but something that rolls over, is of little use.

Glockster, I bought the 5-stitch in black for wear under my duty belt and I promise that you'll not find a more comfortable trouser belt to compliment the heavy rig. Definitely the best money I've spent in a long time.

I don't see the CSM's plastic inserts as offering a decided advantage. My 1.750" 5-stitch is plenty sturdy and doesn't look to be rolling over in the least...and I'm plenty fat so there's a lot of pressure on it. Even when I'm not wearing the duty belt, the 5-stitch remains flat and doesn't bite in when I bend over. Again, let me remind you that I have a big belly and would recognize if the belt or buckle was digging in to the tender underside of my insulating cover.
