I came back with a Ruger P94 DC SS 9mm with the hogue grips. This gun is used but to my novice eye it looked to be in great shape. The gun came with the original box, manual and 1 clip. I paid $300. The store I purchase the gun is a local store where I have made purchases before so there is an element of trust on the condition. Like I said the gun looked to be in very good condition.
Is there anything about this model I should be concerned about? Did I get a fair deal? Thanks for your input! Bob

I thought the P94 was a .40 cal?

P94 = 9mm, P944 = .40 S&W. Externally same appearance.
So, what kind of convenience store sells handguns?

I believe the P94 is the 9mm and the P944 is the .40 cal. Now, I'm not certain but the P94 may also come in 40 cal.
It may have been one of those things when the P94 first came out it was both calibers...then it was decided to segragate them and they made the 944.This is purely speculation, so please don't fill me full of lead for this theory!

The kind I want to go to. :D
Actually, there was almost one near where I lived NC, though it wasn't the same store, they were right next to each other, just outside my little town on the highway.

I have a store two blocks away that sells a little bit of everything. They're an Ace hardware store, they sell fabric, clothes, boots and shoes, jewelry (they have a custom jeweler), groceries, toys, housewares, sod, and of course, have the biggest selection of guns in town. It's by far my favorite store.

I had to run to Sears to get a wrench.
There is a sporting goods store nearby.
I had some time, stopped by, bought a, CZ 52 chambered in 7.62x25.
I really need to stop "just looking!".

Approximately 3 years ago I went out fishing with a friend of mine and stopped in a convienence store to pick up some nick nacks for the drive home and there was this old man putting a for sale sign for Ranger R93 on th wall...Long story short I bought it an hour later! I'm the same guy that went out for milk and came home with a Ruger P94! I have to stop going to the store!!! LOL

I have a relatively new store not far from me who sells "beer, bait and bullets". Big sign on the highway. Guess I'll have to stop in one of these days and see just what they do have. :D

I owned a p94dc in 40 and it was horrible (atleast one in every mag) about light strikes. I tried atleast 5 different factory loads and it still had this issue. I had bought it new and traded it in after 3 monthes on a new G22, never looked back. I've had fantastic luck with ruger revolvers and rimfires, but that gun hurt my trust in Ruger semi's
