This just popped up via Drudge. The NK's are not behaving very well, apparently. They will announce they have nuclear weapons and test one.

WASHINGTON - North Korea startled a six-nation conference in China on East Asian security by announcing its intentions to formally declare its possession of nuclear weapons and to carry out a nuclear test, an administration official said Thursday.

The administration official, asking not to be identified, said that when Russia and Japan attempted to point out some positive elements of the U.S. presentation, the North Korean delegate attacked them by name and said they were lying at the instruction of the United States.
According to the administration official, China's delegate appeared visibly angry over Kim's statement but responded in a moderate tone.
That didn't go very well at all, did it?
Reckon what that means to us?

I wonder if they're flapping their arms for attention again. Those people are nuts.

Hmm.
If we could determine the place and time of their test accurately enough, it might be a good time to "test" one of ours on the same spot.

Kind of strange to tell the whole world that you intend to announce somthing. Gee, I hope they do not change their mind, then we would not know.

I encourage North Korea to develop nuclear weapons....
In fact, I think we should contribute to their effort....
We should deliver some weapons-grade plutonium to their reactor site...
And a few working models of submarine-launched missiles to study...
All at once...
At a very high velocity...
And soon...

I would not be surprised if China suddenly has some "technical difficulties" in delivering supplies to Korea in the near future.
They did it for a couple of days before, to send a clear message.
If NK continues to PO China, they very quickly will be standing alone with their collective butts flapping in the breeze.

North Korea has always played a game of brinksmanship.
It's the only way they can ever get anyone's attention.
Also called extortion.
