I've got one. They're awesome. I have the next size up, the 4.15 Tactical, and I refer to it as my 'cheater' gun, because it shoots so well.
I've got a VIP in stock also. They actually aren't that expensive either. I think it is around $1,400 or so.

My brother-in-law has a nice STI for competition shooting. 20 rounds of .40 S&W, something like a 2 lbs. trigger pull (smooth as a babies butt), far more accurate than I will ever be. They are amazing guns. It would not be worth the price for me (I'd buy 3 cheaper handgus), but if you will shoot it, get it.

Hawk; Yours is all blue? What caliber is that? I'm thinking of getting it in .40 if not 9mm. Caliber ballistics factors for me is not an issue. Im more concerned on the reliability, over-all sturdiness of one over the other, and etc.

I think it's worth it. I've got my eye on an LS9 and hope to own one in the next year. I'll ante up, and gladly.
I watched a feature on STI on Guns &Ammo TV and they are a fairly small outfit that operates in a manner that I like very much.

All blue in .40. It was the last one I could find when they were temporarily discontinued. I was looking for a .45 but I've since warmed up to the .40 - if I got another, it'd likely be another .40.
