Okay, long story short...

Wanted an extra barrel and a few miscellaneous small parts for my 870.

Placed a fax order on June 10th. Went on vacation for a week. Came back. Called to check on my status.
"No record of any order."

So, went ahead and placed a phone order then and there, same parts. This was June 19th. Was given my order number and told that barrels are usually shipped UPS.

About a week later, same guy calls back, gets my voicemail, has some questions about an apparent duplicate order. I guess my fax ended up going through after all. Meanwhile, my CC is charged for two orders.

Call back, get his voicemail, tell him to please cancel one order and to call me if he has any questions. A few days later, both CC charges are reversed by Remington.

Remington re-charges my CC for one order on July 7th.

It's now the morning of the 18th and I still have no package from Big Green, so I call 'em up to check on my status again. Same deal: "no record of any order under your name, your order number is too short to be valid and the last order I show to your zip code is from 2006." Was told that the CC isn't charged until the package ships, which means that UPS has had seven business days to get my stuff to my door. I suppose they may have shipped via USPS, but even then I get most of my Parcel Post items in four to five business days.

It's been over a month since I first placed my order and I'm starting to get pretty cranky. Can anyone vouch for Remington's parts shipping time and whether barrels are usually sent UPS or USPS? Am I asking too much here?

I have always used the phone, and never had a problem of any kind, so I can't be much help. Always got stuff in about 5 days.

They shipped a Model 700 X-Mark Pro Trigger to me and it only took a few of days.

I bought a barrel directly from Remington about 6 months ago over the phone. The process was uneventful.

I've ordered a Remington via my local gunshop through to Remington. I've been quoted 1 to 2 months, but then it is coming 5000 miles :p
