My formerly Anti of a wife has turned the corner!
She finally decided to go with me to the gunstore to see what fit her hand. I was all set on her just telling me to get whatever I wanted so I could get the Glock 19 I have been wanting. She had other plans.
The salesman was nice and attentive and was able to tell her things that she would never listen to me about. He took her from case to case to see how different models felt. She decided on a Kahr P9. Which also means that I decided on a P9. My new gun has to wait a few weeks now.
My lovely wife also decided to take an intro to shooting course next week before she shoots this new pistol. She was almost apologetic about the cost of the course. I think it will be worth every penny for someone else to teach her. You married guys should know, don't ever try to teach your spouse something. Pay someone else to do it.
In the meantime, I took it to the range yesterday for its mandated 200 round break-in.
WHAT A PISTOL!!!! This thing was great. The first two rounds failed to go into battery. I nudged the slide closed and from then on it ran like a top! It was flawless. For my limited pistol experience, I was still able to keep the last 50 rounds inside the 9 and 10 rings on the standard Texas CHL target at 3,7, and 15 yards. I am going to enjoy her new gun...until she gets used to it!
