For you shooters in Ohio the weekend of Sept 13/14 will be a fun filled one if you like 3 gun. On Saturday Sept 13th Ashland Lake GC (http://www.ashlandlakegunclub.org/tac-rif-threegun-match.htm) will be holding "The First Annual ALGC Three Gun Tactical Challenge." The club is about 1/2 hour north of Columbus off I-71. Be sure to read all the links for details about this shoot. Having been to many shoots at this club I'm pretty sure this new event will be a good one!

On Sunday Sept 14th
Rayner's Range (http://www.geocities.com/rayners_range/) will be holding their regular 3 gun/USPSA match. Rayner's was the site of the USPSA Buckeye Blast State match in May. They do a great job! The range is about 1/2 hour east of Zanesville off I-70.

Both ranges have good maps and directions on the web sites. Match fees will run about $20.

Some detail for the Ashland shoot Saturday, Sept 13th. Weather looks to be perfect, stage details from their home page:

Two Tactical Rifle Stages: High round count, relatively short range (under 100 yards). One stage will include transition to handgun. If you have seen the movie or read the book, you'll be just as excited as we are about the "Black Hawk Down" and "Mogadishu Mile" stages.

Two Tactical Shotgun Stages: One stage will include both, buckshot on Pepper Poppers and precision slug fire on IDPA targets. The second stage will include a transition from shotgun to handgun. Shotguns must be equipped with slings.

One Pistol Stage: This will be run according to IDPA rules and will include at least two strings of fire.
Hotdog, hamburger and BYOB picnic when all of the shooting is done.

For Rayner on Sunday, Sept 14th. A 40% chance of scattered rain, high in the mid 70s. A quick heads up on the shoot from Tom Rayner:

"We will have 10 stages set up for Sunday. 5- pistol stages with around 120 rounds. Six 3-gun stages 75 rifle, 75 pistol, and 26+ shotgun.
The pistol shooters and the 3-gunners will share only one quick pistol only stage. There shouldn't be any back ups. If every thing works out all right Sunday you can expect around 8 stages for our Oct match.

See Ya, still setting up... there will be a 32 round virginia count rifle stage with targets out to at least 200 yards."

Hope to see some new faces.
