Can anybody give me some pointers/tips on what all the pockets/bags are designed for on the Midway bag?
I just got mine tonight and was a bit overwhelmed by all the different pockets. It's definatley a lot more bag than my old canvas one.

Whatever ya want, I reckon. The two removeable large pistol pouches hold two of my 1911's, the big pouch down one side is obviously for magazines.
I use one end pouch for Officers mags, to keep 'em separate. Staple gun, staples, masking tape, pushpins, baggies in one pouch. Shooting glasses, earplugs, jeez....just all kinds of stuff. Center section has two more 1911's in pouches, targets, earmuffs, ammo boxes, whatever else I can cram in there. Too much to keep track of.
The smaller bag holds my Bersa .380 and FEG PA-63, their ammo, a couple dozen loaded 1911 mags, mag loader, more earmuffs, can of CLP, rags, etc. When I go to the range, it's an all-day event, my truck is packed.

Just start going to the range with more than one weapon. You'll fill it soon enough.
Mine has a rain jacket, Tilley hat, glasses for shooting, glasses for reading, glasses for drinking, my rifle bags, ammo, loaded magazines, cleaning gear including my rod guides for different rifle actions, hearing protectors, various small tools, and a four course picnic banquet with room to spare for incidentals.
If I forgo lunch I can put in my arbor press and hand dies with bullets, a jar of powder, powdr measure, primers, and reload at the bench in both .222 and 6ppc.
Great BIG bag for little money.

When I got my bag from Midway I thought it was kinda big....until I couldn't stuff any more into it! I am very pleased with this bag.

Gradually getting it filled. Took it too the range with the bare necesseties and discovered all of the things I had forgotten. Made a check list and have been adding to it.
A cheap ponch is a good idea thanks.
