At this point I plan on spending the first week of August in Chelan with the wife and the boys.
I was wonderin.. Are there Coyote opportunities in that area if I was to bring the boys' rifles with us?
Several times, I've tried to get permission to shoot at the Chelan gun club during our annual vacation to the area. Because of fire danger I guess, there's never been opportunity to shoot. (I heard about a fire the Black Powder shooters started once several years ago)
So anyway, is there anyone in the area, that has a doggie prollem, that would allow an almost middle aged dad and his teen aged boys a chance at shootin some yippers on their land?

Wish I could give you more specifics for all the help you've given me with Black Bear tips. I did run across this story (above) a few days ago, so obviously they're out there.
I've run across fresh tracks in the snow while chasing chukar and quail in both the Chelan Butte and the Whiskey River Dick wildlife areas.
Good Luck, and Happy Hunting,

Well, as you know, I never thought I'd live much past my teen aged years. But nobody's put a bullet in my brain yet. -And they'd better be a pretty good shot because I shoot back! So I plan on living long enough to drive you to the looney bin well before I have to go. :D

I don't hunt them this time of year when the dens have just dispersed & the pups are "learning their way." E-mail me in the fall & I'd be glad to take you out.

Have you seen those varmint hunting videos when they shoot coyotes?
It does not work that way for me.
Out of season Elk, Deer, and game birds parade in front of me, and I never see a coyote.
The only coyote I ever shot had one of my hens in it's mouth.
