I want to shoot in my basement and was looking into getting an air pistol. Any one have any ideas? The Baikal Model IZH-46M is one I was looking at. It seems to be the best priced for a target pistol and I don't want to get a cheep knock off that cant shoot or one that needs a compressed air tank. Thanks

Here's a link with some reviews on it that might help

Looks like a good way to go to me if you don't want to mess with extra tanks, etc.
I had a FWB CO2 gun that I sold a few years ago that was a GREAT pistol, but we cannot shoot any kind of firearm in the city limits here, so it was just sitting in the gun safe.
I shot a 591 out of 600 with it at a match. Kind of hated to get rid of it, but it did pay for my Hardball EIC pistol.

The Izh-46 is an excellent mid-grade air pistol. Strongly recommended. To do any better, you will have to lay out $1500+ for a top-end gun. And air pistol will let you practice daily...you will be shocked at what 10 pellets/day will do for your shooting.

If you are going to get into AP, you need to be reading the targettalk.com forums. And compete. It'll put the edge on.

If you're looking to practice at home to increase your Bullseye pistol scores then this Beeman P1 might be the one for you.

Great for working on fundamentals and follow through.

Hope this helps.
