Had my local shop order me a "excellent condition" 1944 VKT Finn Mosin M=39 from Wholesale Guns & Ammo. For $129, this rifle is a steal!!! The bore, heck, the whole barrel, looks new. Bright, shiny and sharp in the bore and smooth, unmarred, all blued on the outside. Action is tight but smooth. Sights are new. Wood is great---is dark and has burls and looks just like a fine briar pipe. Rifle handles amazingly well. You cannot tell how heavy the rifle really is. It is well-balanced. Shoulders great. Just got it cleaned up tonight and was getting more and more impressed the more I cleaned the oil off. This rifle is a heckuva deal. Get one while you can! If you like Mosins, you will LOVE this one!

Congrats! Just wait till you shoot it! :D I have hosted several milsurp postal matches and M39's have one all but 1! Very accurate guns.

They seem to like the Albanian 762x54, the Czech silver tip too. Mine is one of my favorite guns. Rich in history too.

The Finns are very picky about their ammo, and each one has the potential to like a different kind. In general, they were made to shoot 200 grain 7/62x54r.

These are my favorite mil-surps to collect. They have an absolutely amazing history and each one of them is different. They are very high quality rifles and extremely accurate. It's just amazing whatthe Finns were able to make with what they had available.

If you like Mosins, you will LOVE this one! I do like Mosins and I love M/39s.

Have you tried one of the Russin 91/59 carbines yet?
