Courts stay stuff all the time like this. I really hope to god that Silveria is NOT heard. It would be so easy to give a mixed ruliing that would hurt us on this one. I know others disagree but I dont think that an "assault weapons" case will bring much simpathy our way.

Other then the obvious constitutional issues, the strongest thing we have going for us is that the statistical evidence does not show that semi-automatic/military pattern rifles or firearms with large-cap. magazines comprise anything more then a very minor place in the total number of firearms used by criminals. The public safety issue of these guns vs. other kinds simply isn't there.
