Before, plain Jane Mossburg 500:

After, with Knoxx stock, Advanced Technology forend, 18 inch Mossburg replacement barrel, and side saddle. I think this will make one heck of a home defense gun.

Looks good. Is there enough stock drop for the bead sight or do you find yourself looking over the top of it?

That's a mighty fine-looking scattergun! I spoke to a cop once who had a similar setup as yours, and asked to hold it...my goodness, I've never liked the feel of a long gun as much as that!! Compact, tight, a good length, a great weight. Yessir!!

I like, I really debated one of those stocks...............here's my "budget" 500..........In the end I tried to stick to something that would look a little more civil to a jury:eek:................and I'm CHEAP!

Question: Does the sidesaddle have to be removed when you clean the gun? It was my understanding it does but I may be wrong. I didn't really want the sidesaddle because repeatedly removing the screws for the sidesaddle from the aluminum receiver could be problematic.
Anyway, here's my 590A1 with the Knoxx:

Too bad it degrades the ergonomics of the M500 by keeping your thumb well away from the safety. 870s make better pistol-gripped guns that way, IMHO.
Looks darn awesome, though.
