Shotshells in rifled barrel?

Anybody have experience with shotshells (8 thru 0000 buck) in a rifled 12 ga barrel?

I imagine there would be some "leading" but the shot wad should minimize this.

Shotshells fired through a rifled barrel produce patterns with great big holes in them. The shot string flies in a spiral with the shot going who knows where.
