...question about early TV westerns, I seem to recall there was a show with the main figure who shot cartridges loaded with dynamite, not sure it's even feasable....(obviously a gimic the writers came up with)...anyone remember who it was?

...sort of remember the guy played the part of a western gambler, Yancy Derringer maybe?....always carried a small derringer to get out of tight situations.

Here's some pictures and info about "Yancy Derringer" from the late 50s. I was only 2 years old when it was on. I grew up with Gunsmoke, Bonanza & The Wild Wild West. :D

That's the show, thanks...

Now the question that has been bugging me...is it possible to use dynamite in cartridges without blowing up the gun? What would be the pressures compared to BP or smokeless?

Ow Ow Ow OwOw Ow Ow!
I was maybe 8 or 10 when I saw Yancy Derringer, maybe 9 or 11 when I did what Vern Estes said one should never, ever do! I remember rolling on the ground howling, just from doing BAD things with model rockets; Just the thought of doing dumb things with high explosives makes me shudder!

Anything is possible if you know what the hell you are doing.
