Interesting video. The guy with the rifle hesitated to shoot the charging pig. Once his buddies start to shoot, the guy with the rifle is almost in the line of fire! Scary. Nice big pig. They can get mean.
Couple of years ago I was hunting in NE Texas on my buddies place. I had arrived late for the opening of deer season. As a result, I was taking the most out of the way route to my stand in order to give them as wide a berth as possible ( I knew where they were positioned on the property). I heard a huge ruckus in the woods and moved closer to see what was going on. Found a huge number of pigs rooting up the ground. I shot the biggest one I could see. At that point the rest turned and ran straight at me! Fortunately those pigs were more interested in getting out of the area than doing harm to me. Must have had twenty pigs running by me on both the right and left.
Anyway, those pigs had rooted up huge sections of the property. Pigs make a wreck of farm land. My buddy was happy I had shot one, but he'd have been happier if I had shot all of them!

A boar bearing down on you is not a boring event.

for sure, when I lived in Roswell a farmer who was a friend of my father's used to let us hunt wild pigs on his land all the time. They rooted up his alfalfa fields something awful.

The boar didn't attack the hunters. It was self defense. It was just attempting to prevent them from killing itself. ;)
