Good Price on Browning Gold Hunter?

I have a friend selling his lightly used (read handling marks, but termites ain't eaten the wood or anything) Browning Gold Hunter 12ga, 28" for $600.

I REALLY want a decent O/U, but this is a heckuva semi that can take the place of my Benelli Nova as my main hunting gun.

Thoughts?


I'm still going to have to spend $1000 on a decent O/U in the next 6 months.

I like the guns and the price is not too bad. Some are more and some are less.

It sounds like the price is decent, but I wouldn't consider it a "steal". Some of the large sporting goods chains sell them for just a little more than that new (last time I checked).
