Guide rod pulled out of front of my XD about 3/4" when front lip caught on holster. Cannot get it back in or move slide back to unlock position to free it.
Has anyone had this problem? How to fix?

Is there a round in the chamber?

I'd give Springfield a call. My experience with the Customer Service has been great.

Yes, Chamber empty. Slide comes back far enough to empty, but not to lock back.

Can you remove the slide ?

No, cannot remove slide.
Rear travel of slide stops 1/4 inch short of slide release. Slide moves rearward enough to clear chamber and to cock action.

Springfield tech rep great help.
Involved putting Crescent wrench behind front flange and tapping briskly forward with hammer. Fell right back into place. Will fix holster.
