Aaaah, an excuse to post a snapshot taken last night...ripping off Skunkabilly's lighting technique.

:( The link above seems to be 404.

Is that the Skunkabilly "I can't afford a real flash so I point my flash at the ceiling and bounce it off the walls" trick? :D

Try the link again. It came up for me, but was a little slow.

Nice picture as usual.

I just scored a West German preban (I think) P226. Going to have to check the date codes when I get home using their site as a reference.

Oleg, which knive is that? Looks like a Benchmade but can't tell from the closed position.

Where did you pick up the carrier for the E2 surefire. I have seen some around here but only for the fatter 6P/Z series lights.

What is Skunks lighting technique? It looks great!

All my gun pics turn out like crap!

:D

Knife is Benchmade Stryker.

Lighting is top/back from a large diffuse source, dark background to keep overall contrast very low and light exposure. Not as complex as Skunkpics but I am getting there.

I have about 1/4 of the space I had back in MN but still have the same soft box.

Some more pics from the same batch:

Man, a dedicated firearms and knife photography room.

Wow.

I can no longer consider myself an enthusiast.

Nice pics, by the way.
