Got an antelope(the first antelope in 17 years and only one in Ca.) yesterday. :D :D :D I am logging in from a motel as I have to hang the carcass in my motorhome shower!!!! I duct taped the airconditioner ducts to blow into bathroom to cool it down! Heres the problem :I drove 150 miles southwest now for deer hunting, deer are everywhere in this zone , almost like pests, I thought there would be muleys at 4000ft BUT it seems blacktails have pushed them out and are getting fat around lakes. I saw 3 six pointers today but was waiting for the big one. I think I will have my wife blast the next 6 pointer we see and drive home Weds to get meat into freezer as it is well over 100 outside. I'll come back with buddies in jeeps in 2 weeks and get a buck then . Gordon out.:)

Hunting over!(for couple weeks) Goin home again tommorrow a.m . My motor home shower is now the hanging cold room with a 115lb. antelope and a 137lb. 6 point(western count) buck. I got digital pictures. The 125 6.5mm Nosler partitions probably hit at pretty much same velocity, went clean thru point on shoulder shots with 1" exits. .264Win mag at 3200fps hit antelope at 311 yards (Nikon laser range finder) , 6.5TCU at 2700fps muzzle hit buck at 90 yards (approx) . As I said before the deer were like pests around the No Calif Lake , my wife waited for the fattest one she saw because that antelope meat looks real lean!:D BTW: ate liver both times for dinner!:D

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Must be nice;)
I missed the stupid Arizona drawing for big game this year. Didnt get back from Korea till June and by the time I got back from seeing the folks back east it was too late.
I hate the thought of having a draw even for just deer. Antelope and Elk maybe but not deer.
