By the way, the patina does not generally look that brown. This digi cam is not too great and isn't working very well either.

I recently used Mother's polish to strop the edge of the SBJ, and it looks awesome in contrast to the patina...I'm going to go try to take one outside of just the edge.

I love those yellow handled sod busters! I imagine a LOT of work has been done by them over the years!!

I knew a man who was a proffesional trapper who carried a yellow handle Case sodbuster. It was his favorite knife, to the extent that after many years when his trapper was getting very badly worn, he bought another one just like it.

Sodbusters are great knives!

*smile*
Many a lady and gent has carried a Sodbuster and stropped the knife on a book cover such as the one pictured.
Stropped at school, home, office, work shed, job site, back forty on the property...

Thanks for the responses. Anyone who wants to post similar pics is welcome. My photography skills certainly aren't daunting...

I love the SB jr and the Olight, as well. The Olight is a real bargain. It's sturdily built and small...both of these tools disappear completely in regular pockets. But both also pack a punch! I have been blinded and lost lots of hair from my forearms, but I don't seem to learn.
