I have a CVA 36 caliber handgun and I believe it's a police model. Fired once, like new condition in original box with paperwork. Anyone have an idea of aprroximate value?

Unfortunately fired is fired, and is it steel frame or brass? How long is the Barrel hex or round , .36 or .44 cal? Lower the loading lever and does it say ASM(Armi San Paolo)? Or has it other markings. Brass frame about $100-$140, steel $100-$175. It depends on the buyer mostly. Just that fired is less than new. Now that's just my guesstamet ok?

From the Fifth Edition of The Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Arms (2007), page 54: the CVA .36 cal (S_G: the caliber was in the title of his post and in the first line) Pocket Police has a 100% condition value of $115 for the color case hardened frame and $160 for the steel frame.

The CVA Pocket Police had a 5 1/2 inch round barrel, a round or oval trigger guard and a fluted cylinder. There is no mention of a brass frame in CVA's catalog for this model.

There is no premium for the box and paperwork of these guns, although some individuals may value that more. There is no consideration for manufacturer either.

The Blue book is a guide only. Actual prices can and do vary considerably in either direction.

It is a CVA Pocket Police, 36 caliber. 5 1/2" round barrel with fluted cylinder. It does have a brass frame and under the loading lever it says "ASM Black Powder Only, Made in Italy".

Thanks guys! Love shooting them, but hate cleaning them...
