Hey yall. I'm in the mood to pick up another shotgun, and was interested in the Mariner, by Mossberg. I own 2 Remington 870's, but have no experience whatsoever with Mossberg. I am strictly looking for a Stainless/Nickel finished shotgun for defense. I hunt very little, and if I did, I've already got it covered with my 870's. Anyways, I'm just looking for some info on Mossberg 500/590 shotguns. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

From what I read on the Mossberg site, I don't believe the Mariners are stainless/nickel, just have a silver protective coating on them.

don't bother the finish is just a coating and it scratches easily and it stains really bad. bottom line it sucks so bad i got rid of mine for cheap.
