Take your mags apart, clean & lube & give them another chance. If they still fail on you -- replace them!

Can you elaborate a bit more? Is it a stove pipe, a failure to eject, or premature lockback? The good news is that if it isn't user-driven, it means that odds are it's just the magazines that are failing, which are a relatively inexpensive component to replace.

without more information it could be anything.

is it failing to feed the next round up the feed ramp?

I havn't had any issues with my XD-45 but I have heard alot of complaints about weak mag springs on the xd talk site.

i have had no issues at all with my mags, some that i have and been running through my xd's since i had my first which was in 05, and they are still running strong. You should take the mags apart and clean them like 10-ring said, get you a double stack mag brush from brownells, and they makes quick work of cleaning the mags and the mag well on the pistol too. the xd's are known in the training circles to have mag issues if they aren't kept clean, that is an easy fix though. they are cheap and they are easy to replace so worse case scenario you can get some more, and btw you could nevert have enough anyway.

If you find that cleaning the mags fixes the problem, go out and pick up a Kleen Bore Mag Swab.

Whenever you clean your firearm, take the mags and push the follower all the way down with the mag swab and it will keep your mags free of build-up. Makes it quick as you don't have to disassemble the mag to clean it. When it is time for a spring change, detail clean the inside of the mag.

This is also very useful for cleaning the inside of the magwell.
