I'm not a competition shooter, although I "wannabe" some day when I have the time, money, and equipment.

Meanwhile, I lurk in here occasionally to see what the rest of you are in to.

I saw "Extreme Marksmen" on the History channel the other day and was amazed (as is everyone) by what I saw Jerry Michulek do. He was able to put 12 rounds into a target in under 6 seconds - blindfolded!

I was also struck by what he said about action competition shooting:

"After I get a walk-through, I can come back here and shoot it with my eyes closed."

"You win it by being fast."

"You never want to stop moving your feet."

"You always want to stay aggressive...keep the sights goin'"

"I always want to stay hungry for a shot."

I have Extreme Marksmen on my DVR and watch it every couple of weeks.
Plus its fun to show my friends who are in to guns.

I have Extreme Marksmen on my DVR...

I recorded it on a DVD and have watched it several times. I enjoy watching in slo-mo and stop frame.

When I get the opportunity, I will show it to my 4-year-old grandson who is fascinated by guns - even though his mother hates them.

I've got to watch him do that stuff in person. It's really impressive.

We've got a local ICORE revolver shooter here in Utah that has beaten Michulek a few times in big matches, Mark Terry. I was teaching a pistol class one day, and Mark was using the same range, shooting an 8 shot .357. I asked him to do a little demo for the class, and he apologized, said he was having an off day, and then proceeded to do the shoot 'till empty, reload, do it again drill as fast as I've ever seen it.

Hard core revolver shooters are amazing.
