Ok heres the situation: I want to attach a small rail to my 870s synthetic stock. I thought I did an amazing job with jb weld and indeed it was until I was showing this to my wonderful girlfriend and it fell off...:uhoh: So what are some inexpensive ways to get the rail to stay on the stock?

Just a piece scope rail from a remington 700. I had a few extra and its the right size from my flashlight holder.

Where on the "stock" do you want to attach it?

If you are truly mounting it to syn stock than I think some screws would be the best bet.

First, inlet the stock for the base so it sets slightly down into the surface. This will provide a recoil lug effect to keep it from shooting off.

Next drill the stock for self-tapping screws that will fit the base.

Last, 'glass-bed" the base in the stock recess with JB weld or Acraglas, and screw it down with the screws.

All this will provide a tight fit that will not allow it to get a "running start" under recoil and pull the screws out of the stock.
