I have just read last month's issue of SWAT magazine--------

For eight long years I have waited...........waited...........waited...........and waited for the most beautiful weapon ever made to arrive at the shoreline of America, the South African Neostad shotgun. Alas, it is not to be. My Starship Troopers dream gun of a lifetime will never grace my hands.

Did anyone ever figure out if that Neostad for sale was ever neutered for USA-consumption?

CWL, I wondered the same thing. I tried to contact to seller to ask if it had been modified in any way, but it's not allowing email to go through since I'm not a registered user of that site. Anyone with a login want to try it?

For $2000 you could buy the much more sophisticated Beneli which fires faster, comes with a warranty, and has replacement parts available AND have $1000 left over!

Another way of looking at it is this...you could buy EIGHT Remington 870 HD models (black synthetic stocked, 18" barrel) for the gunshow price of about $250 for the price of ONE Neostad. That's a loaded shotgun in the...

I lament the passing of the Neostad too and wanted one very badly, but I doubt we will ever see one for sale anytime soon.
