Spokane Concealed Carry Questions

Hi Guys and Gals.
Any of you live in Spokane or visit there?
Are there any areas off limits to CCW such as the two big parks?
I'm making a vacation trip soon and wish to carry on my WA CPL, but would like to know of any pitfalls.
No, I don't plan on carrying in any bars, (don't drink) or attending any outdoor music festivals.
Will a black fanny pack look out of place?

Unless you are a 60 year old woman, you dont see many fanny packs in these parts; same with vests. Other than that, normal CCW laws apply - can carry anywhere unless otherwise posted.

Don't see many fanny packs, no, but the place does have tourists and visitors (like me). I don't think you'd be totally out of place with one.
I don't visit bars often, so it wasn't hard for me to avoid places there that don't allow carry. I stayed for a few days late last year.

I'm 80 miles south of Spokane, in Pullman WA - Go Cougs and all that.
I wear a 'fishing type' vest most of the time. I also have a
WA St. CPL. I visit Spokane - my father and daughters live there
as well as monthly visits for a VA Support group
meeting. I haven't heard of any specific areas that are
banned other than the usual Fed.State, K-12 school
zones. I dont believe Spokane has a moron power grabbing
guy in office like Seattle does.
Oh, there's an indoor range in Spokane a couple of miles
east of downtown called Sharpshooters. They advertise they
have over 70 handguns for rentals. I haven't been there yet.
but I hope they have Sigs to try out.

Im a member there and they have just about anything you would like to try out. Depending on your choice, rental are from $5-$8. You have to use their ammo some mark-up of course but not to bad. GREAT people down there. It is on the corner of Trent and Freya. My dad carries in a fanny pack here in Spokane but I think he is the only one.;)

GREAT people down there.
Other than the fact the owner won't allow you to exercise your lawful and Constitutional right to open carry in her store, you are right about the people there. Even Robin is a great person, and does a lot of good for the RKBA, she just has a problem with that one little part of it.
She has said that concealed carry is OK in there, but open carry may frighten some people. It a gun store and range, and her employess open carry, but lawful citizen off the street can't. I will take my business elsewhere.

As far as visiting Spokane, have fun, it is a great place to live and visit. I think as long as you wear a Hawaiian shirt, the fanny pack should be OK. ;)

That is too funny because my dad also wears those shirts daily( Retired a couple years ago. )
As for the rules Robin has set in place I see where you are coming from as a matter of principal thing, I just always thought of the employees open carry practice as a method of advertising her inventory. I have never felt compelled to carry openly so I suppose thats why her policy has never bothered me.

I'm a member of Diamondback Shooters Range in Lewiston ID. Rule there is if you'rre not on the firing lane - either keep the action open, or
keep it holstered, Open or concealed is up to the wearer. If you want to
check out a weapon or have someone else check out yours - step into the
staging room between the firing area and the lobby. Bob doesn't want guns waved around yah know? Owners call the rules imho.
I'll have to check out Sharpshooters I want to try a
CZ 75D PCR - 9mm Luger as well as the SIg P239 in 9mm luger
as well as .40 S&W
