hi i recently bought a manhurin Walther pp in .32 acp for 300 . the slide has almost no finish and pitting all around the frame is ok and the inside is immaculate no bluing wear on the feed ramp mag or slide rails and a mint bore. i am trying to find out the date of manufacture and what its actually worth. the serial is 338xx and when i pull the trigger guard down inside there is a 69 in a circle and just above that on the frame is LP By with 4 odd peen marks over it.

Sometime between 1952 and 1986. Some PPs have the last two digits of the year stamped on the outside of the chamber, and even though made in Manurhin, they may have the Ulm elk antler proof mark next to that year stamp. See anything like that on your gun?

In this area , in the condition you described, your French PP would bring no more than 250.
