I am looking for a light load using N320- 230LRN in my stock 1911. I was using 5.0g of Unique and need something similar.

Sorry Mate to change the subject on you like this but I must say, I think a road trip is in order for me. I can't find VV N320 anywhere in Southern California. I am down to my last 2 pounds or so and I am worried that I may have to resort to my back up powder. I love it in my 9mm.

I have some recipes that I screwed around with for one of my PARA's but somehow, it preferred Bullseye or Clays for lighter loads and that was that - Go Figure...

I'll look through my log book and see if I can find the exact numbers and hit you back tomorrow.

I have not shot any lead with N320, but I have shot Zero 230 JHP's (and other bullets/weights) with N320.

4" CDP - Zero 230 Gr JHP @ 1.245 O.A.L.

5.0 Grs N320 gave 708 Avg FPS

5.2 Grs N320 gave 721 Avg FPS

Was going to try 5.4, but did not get around to it.

5.0 Grs N320 and an X-Treme 225 Gr TrFP @ 1.215 O.A.L. gave me an Avg 780 FPS from a 5" 1911. (faster than avg barrel)

This should give you some idea of where to start. N320 works great in the .45 ACP. So does N310.

Yep.I used some 230 RN Raineers I found.

4.8 N320 gave me 781 fps
5.0 N320 gave me 804 fps
